What to wear for your photos

A short, no-fuss guide to picking outfits that look good on camera.

Woman portrait outdoors

The question we get asked most. Here’s the short version.

Go for solid colours

Busy patterns and big logos pull attention away from faces. Muted, solid colours always look good.

Comfort beats trendy

If you feel awkward in it, it shows. Wear something you’d happily spend a day in.

Coordinate, don’t match

Shooting with family or a partner? Pick a shared colour palette instead of identical outfits.

Bring a backup

A second top or jacket gives us options without a full outfit change.
